The Eryr 180 is a 180° free-standing awning that opens in seconds to create a broad, practical shelter around the vehicle. With a two-metre radius of coverage and roughly eight square metres of protected space, it provides substantial shelter from sun and rain. Designed to fit any roof rack and to stand up under rain and sun alike, it gives immediate, dependable shelter without complication.
The Eryr 180 deploys from an adjustable mounting system into a frame built around 22 mm and 25 mm aluminium alloy spars that provide the structural support required for stable free-standing operation. Aluminium alloy was selected for its strength-to-weight balance, providing rigidity without unnecessary mass at the outer edge of the structure. A 280g canvas forms the primary canopy surface, chosen for its tear resistance and durability under repeated loading and exposure. Integrated LED lighting is housed within the spars, reducing external fixings and simplifying setup.
Designed as a true free-standing awning, the Eryr 180 can be deployed without guy ropes or additional supports in normal conditions. Allowing for fast, uncluttered setup when you simply need immediate cover. However, when conditions demand it, integrated support rods and heavy-duty guy ropes can be deployed to increase stability and load resistance. They remain unobtrusive when not in use, but are there when needed, adding an extra layer of structural assurance without compromising everyday simplicity.
